The Interviews Are Now Online
In April and May 2010, we held a special event called the “Neighboring Faiths Interviews.” We invited the leaders of four major religions to come for an interview regarding their faith background.
You likely work with Hindu co-workers or have a Muslim family on your street or your kids play soccer with kids from Jewish families. And the whole reason for our interview series was to help us learn to be good neighbors and good communicators in a diverse city.
We’re to be good neighbors. Scripture tells us we are seek our neighbors' good regardless of whether they convert to Christianity or even want to hear about it. At the same time, we’re to be good communicators. Opportunities often arise in our relationships with others to explain how Jesus can be our Forgiver and Leader.
But neither is possible without understanding. Our “Neighboring Faiths” interviews were designed to understand the worldviews we encounter at work, school, and the neighborhood.
