The purpose of missions ministry is to take what we do at Hillcrest "off-campus".  In either setting, our goal is to help people find Jesus and follow him up the discipleship H.I.L.L.   “Missions ministry” simply means doing work in other settings designed to help people find Jesus and follow him.

All missions ministries share one attribute:  they produce actions that demonstrate God’s love for the lost by meeting specific needs, including those caused by poverty, disease, ignorance, spiritual darkness, or a lack of spiritual leaders.

Hundreds of ministries have sprung up around the world to meet these and other needs. Hillcrest supports some of these missions organizations through our budget and designated offerings.

A number of our members are also directly involved in missions ministries at the local and regional level.  Mission projects may be organized and supported by individuals, groups such as Sunday school classes, or on a church-wide basis.   They may be ongoing in nature, or for a limited purpose and timeframe. You can get involved by participating in or giving to these ministries, or by providing prayer support. You can also find out more about missions and consider your role in God's purposes through learning resources.
